4 QUESTIONS WITH FUTURELAND ARTIST SHOAM THOMAS:
NEMO DESIGN, PORTLAND, OREGON

1. What is the future, in four words?
Food in pill form.

2. What are the inspirations for your Futureland piece?
There was a Delorean in the Nemo parking lot last week and I wish it would come back from the future and give me the results to all major sporting events so I can be a millionaire like Biff was.

3. What kinds of techniques and printing methods are you using?
It’s stock, low-res, and what ever I can afford. (But the future I’ll be rich so I’ll make it a lot better)

4. Do you think design will play a role in the future, and what role will that be?
I think someday everyone will be a designer, and everything will be touched by a designer. We all ready have toast that can be burned with your favorite football team’s logo. So yea. Pretty much design is here to stay.
