Depths & Beyond is a solo art show featuring all new works by Australian painter Karlee Mackie, KALM. For the Artist Reception on June 30 (6-9pm) we will host the very talented Edei!

This is going to be a very special and intimate performance with an exciting rising music talent, Edei, set to the scene of the beautiful mind and imaginations of artist Karlee Mackie. Edei splits her time between the UK, London and Los Angeles. She will be joined by Los Angeles musician Kellen Malloy on June 30.  So excited!

“At 22 years old, Edei has already released two singles – “In My Bed” in August 2010 and “Loved” in January 2011.  She also joined the largely popular Brit band Girls Aloud on 36 tour dates, opening for the pop troop and getting her name on the map.  Edei said she was determined to make it based on musical talent alone, although she had offers to join girl groups or audition for the show X Factor. — Stu News Laguna

“Two years ago, Kellen Malloy moved from Florida to California. As a current resident of Los Angeles, Malloy is making glorious folk music out of his bedroom. He calls this solo project Kith & Kell — Malloy says he wants “listeners to feel like they’re in the woods or have desire to go when they listen” — A single from this forthcoming EP is, “Wilderness King”.  Reaching almost six minutes, the benign vocals and stomping percussion take us on an organic journey.”  – EARMILK
