The next partnership to enter the gallery is Drew Brophy and Karlee Mackie. Drew Brophy “the worlds most recognized surf lifestyle artist of the 21st century,” is the star of television show “The Paint Shop.” Karlee Mackie is a ‘free surfer’paid to travel the globe and follow her bliss. As individuals, they follow the ocean as their muse, their artworks vibrant with color and seeping of life and soul. The evening with Karlee and Drew begins at the AR4T Gallery in Laguna for an artists reception, then travels to Ocean Ave Restaurant and Brewery for dancing and drinks, 21+.

About Karlee: A sponsored free-surfer, free-spirit and eclectic artist with an endless source of inspiration to draw from, Karlee-Anne Louise Mackie (Kalm) follows an approach to mixed media canvases that creates elevating, unique artworks seeping of life and soul. While on tour-competing on the surfing world qualifying series she began painting her friends’ surfboards, and now she is one of the wickedly lucky few females in the world that travels and explores surf culture for a career. With the support of her sponsors Rusty, Electric, AERIAL7, Urge footwear and Streetboardz, Karlee has been able to explore the side of herself that developed her artistic talent.
