AR4T Jewelry Garden
Their craftwork is part of how we define AR4T: a radical experiment inspired by young creatives born of the youth culture who are working hard to make life visual and without bounds.
Chase Adams‘ (Long Beach, Ca.) pieces are unreal. He works copper, bullets and gemstones into pendants, bracelets and rings. Each piece is a solid work of art built to last through the ringer. We love the stories behind each and every piece that come out of his workshop. Read 4 Questions with Chase Adams and see pics of his workshop here.
Peas of Mine is a line of all-handmade earrings (sold one by one) and necklaces. Artist Bri Freeman (Los Angeles, Ca./ Florence, Italy) uses vintage keys, turquoise, geodes, self-hunted crystals, found gems, leather strips, copper, feathers and even a few coins that design to a free spirit. Each earring has its own texture, power and feel.
We’ve featured Chantal de Felice‘s (San Clemente, Ca.) artwork here a number of times and now we’re showing off her jewelry. AR4T is the only spot in Laguna Beach with her sterling silver, salvaged scrap wood, archival paper earrings. They’re super lightweight and the quality materials makes them “basically a mini print that you wear.” Think whimsical and romantic — if your idea of whimsical and romantic is chain link fences, dirty streets and cityscapes.
Pip Simmonds (South Lake Tahoe, Ca./ Wrightsville Beach, N.C.) uses shells from her native New Zealand to make delicate earrings and bracelets. As a skier in the winter and a surfer in the summer, her jewelry reflects her passion for the outdoors in its swirls, shapes and reflections.
